Workshop participants will learn how to use basic CMOS electronics to build a light-controlled square wave oscillator. They will explore reading schematics, designing circuits in an exploratory, personal way, and the broader context for these types of circuits. Participants will prototype and hand-solder their own designs; integrated circuits originally designed for computer logic become a gateway to irrationality.
